This Chrome Drier With Trinary Switch has a threaded port on both sides for trinary or binary switch installation. Comes sealed and pre-charged with nitrogen to prevent contamination and moisture infiltration. Dimensions are 2.5 x 6. Chrome bracket is included. It is important that the drier is installed in the correct orientation. On some driers, there is a sticker on the drier to indicate the direction of freon flow. On driers without the sticker, look for "IN" stamped above one of the ports. If your drier is mounted backwards, your A.C system will not work properly. Checking the drier orientation is one of the first things that we do when diagnosing A/C performance problems. Also, the drier works best when it is mounted vertically. Do not tip the drier in any direction more then about 15 degrees. For 134A applications, the sight glass on top of the drier is irrelevant. Charge your system with gauges and a scale to measure the correct charge.
Trinary Safety Switch features include low pressure and high pressure compressor clutch cutoff functions as well as electric fan engagement. 30 PSI low pressure cutoff. 406 PSI high pressure cut off, and 254 PSI fan engagement. This switch is intended for aftermarket A/C systems such as Vintage Air.
